MONDAY CHIT-CHAT : FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

Hello people! How body? Hope you’re all doing well? My weekend was great I spent it kissing Tutusco….LOL. Well, she’s great company unless when she’s crying, or when she’s been fussy and wants to sleep, or when she wants rough play, I just jejely hand her over to Uncle Yom-Yom. Lately I’ve been calling Bobo Uncle Yomi, reminds me of those older couples that call their husbands “Daddy, Daddy Kinikan” and the man too will call his wife “Mommy”…is that romantic? Will that be me someday???? I shudder!
I didn’t get up to much this weekend… how can I when it started raining heavily on Saturday morning? Me I just shook myself under the duvet and change my sleeping gear…by the time I was ready for anything it was past 4: 00pm.
Before I forget, the first to leave a “meaningful” comment wins airtime recharge oh so make sure you hurry to the comments section. Also are you following the #ShopSmallWinBig hashtag on twitter? You should because Verve card has a mobile bus going around Lagos, if you spot the bus and take a selfie with it you win 1000 recharge if you tweet it at me @Sisi_Yemmie or them @VerveCard! I tweet updates about the location of the bus from time to time. You can also win alot by shopping on that truck with your verve card. Don’t say you didn’t hear oh. There’s another giveaway when you scroll through to the bottom!
Aunty Yem-Yem your dress is shinny

Riwo…she loves ICM
Actually Bobo planned to take Riwostic to Lekki to a playground… (all the way ohhh) but because it was late already we went to Ikeja Mall, the first person I met was Biodun and we took a photo together! She said this was her first time at Ikeja Mall…! I met other people but I was too busy hustling for my spicy goat meat from Sumptious Meals to take photos! I love my readers….they are all awesome, warm friendly people!
Sisi and Biodun
Back to Riwo, there’s actually a game store for kids in ICM so the babe played and played and played and didn’t want to come out. LOL. Typical. Since only one adult can enter, we the egbons (seniors) sat outside by Melting Moments to have some ice cream and just relax. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had red velvet ice cream cones, so I had that with a scoop of raspberry icecream…it was yum yum yum yum yum! I also got a free cupcake courtesy Melting Moments just for “Sisi Yemmie”….I was surprised. I never esperrrred it. Thank you!
Me and my little sunshine
On Sunday we carried ourselves to Labule…is this becoming an obsession? LOL. This time I had Egusi and Fufu with goat meat and Ponmo, Bobo had Yam porridge with that big dried catfish. My sisters had Eya agoyin with dodo and vegetables…it was all so yummy! Oh the winner for the Labule giveaway is…..Nkechi Ogueri. Thank you to all who entered…wish everyone could win it! Mwaaah!
After lunch we went to see my friend Tomi aka Clarine, she was having her birthday getstogeda…so we went to join in.She turned 30 last week and you know that’s a very nice age to be, some of us are approaching it…he he he…according to my Clarine, 30 is the age to become more serious and responsible…ehen. So if you’re getting to 30, you have to start behaving better.
Her wonderful husband prepared everything we ate, spaghetti, turkey, peppersoup, zobo…ahn ahn…he deserve gbosa for the hard work. LOL. He tried. 10 Gbosa’s for Bros Super Sharp Fikky!!! Husband toh wake up!
Clarine and Sophie! LOL. What we were called in Igbinedion Uni

My birthday is coming up oh…in October, 19th precisely, do I have any birthday mates?! What shall we do??? Please let me know if you have awesome ideas for my birthday because I think I’m stuck! I’ve been thinking of going again to an orphanage this year like last year but I’d like it to be more engaging than that…what do you think? You can CLICK HERE to read what happened last year.

There’s a garden party this sunday for some selected bloggers, If you’re interested in attending , then leave your email address, commenting about the garden party so I’ll know that’s what you’re interested in oh! You have to wear florals for the parrrry….!Mwaaaah!

Have a fantastic week all!

  1. Hmm, how about taking one or two kids on a joy ride type tbing around town, watch a new kid movie, the whole nine yards? Or fostering for a weekend(if bday falls on a weekend). Or maybe a cute tea party kids style with piñata (not sure I spelled it right). Would prob be fun if the kids made it themselves. Or a sort of masked ball? Haven't seen that done in ages.

  2. 19th that's my brother, I'm 20th though. Awww the baby looks so cute.
Baba Sisi yemmie haven't you heard bout the ban on ponmo? Hehe

  9. Some couples call each other daddy lagbaja/mummy lagbaja cos they don't want to call each other first name and also giving respect to each other…………….some even call daddy wa/mummy wa, you can imagine someone coming to look for daddy lagbaja and met his absence instead met his wife. The following conversation took place
    Visitor: Daddy lagbaja nko
Wife: Daddy wa o si nile, kini kin so fun won to won ba de? Lol.
This is common in the Yoruba Culture, its respect sha but for me a pet name is fine………..it depends on individual though.
NB: How do i get my satin bonnets

  10. The way you carried that baby with such joy, so shall your face brighten when your baby comes… We shall call you "mama kinikan" someday.

    I see it coming.

Thanks for all your support and love, Sis Yemmie.

    Love you always.

    Ayo.

  12. You did enjoyed your weekend Sisi.Tutusco is such a cute &lovely baby.As for Labule, you sure have an attachment with the place.lol! For your birthday, you can have a get together with your readers now. That will be a nice idea or what do you [email protected]

  13. I love how you spend your weekends with your family in the picture……Biko Sisi don't get use to the Uncle nick name thing before it gets out of hand maybe you should try calling him Brother Yom-Yom…or Baby Yom-Yom….no mind me oh but be tush about it….hahaha
Okay about your birthday, i suggest you should have a candle light dinner with Hubby and maybe close family members, this is your first birthday in the permanent site and you should have lovely memories of it…if you feel like giving then just do it small, not like an event.
I wish Bobo had a blog, i'd say Uncle Yom-Yom (yep i can call him that not you Sisi) try those kitchen skills on that day….let me stop here before i write a birthday/love manual for you two….lol

  14. Hi Sisi Yemmie,
I am interested in the garden party for bloggers. [email protected]

This food just makes one hungry especially the porridge and fish. I have been to melting moments before, nice ambiance plus correct ice cream. was suppose to do a review on them, because I found out they also cater for events. (stillworkingonit)
