You don't know how much I hate debt in this my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It irks every fiber of my being. Living here in the US though, you can't really get away from it and I'm having a hard time dealing with the new shift.
I'll get Arese's book one of these days.

This was so concise and necessary. There are certain debts that may appear necessary, things like mortgage and university fees, but trying to avoid them is certainly possible. I really ought to purchase Arese's book sometime soon.

hey Sisi, thank God i have able to get out of debt through my mothers advice. i have paid all of my debt and now am enjoying my money. but i still want to know how to save well. will buy Areses book soon .

Live within your means! I totally agree and I would stress that it is much better to live BELOW your means. Just because you can afford it doesn't mean you should get it. There is nothing like being totally debt-free and having some savings in the bank. Being in debt is like having a yoke around your neck. Thanks for sharing, Sisi!

Cut your coat according to your material,not even your size this time around.It is easy to avoid debts here in Nigeria,just live base on your income if not lesser sef so you can save more.Saving is my hobby,since I don't have a business to purge the money into ,let me just keep saving it.

After paying my tight I also at least 20% of whatbi earn, that is from salary , business and other free money I get. I also have a piggy bank for saving free change I find in my wallet that could have been spent on frivolous things. I name my piggy bank so when its full i use the money in it to buy what it was named for
