Hello my lovelies! How body? For someone that did not get a wink of sleep last night I am unusually chirpy- maybe it’s the ice water I’ve been drinking. Have you ever had one of those nights where everything just goes wrong? Or just a few things? After having one kain yeye dream like that, I woke up in the middle of the night because the gen went off (I’m really considering getting an inverter now oh, this generator life is not for me)…tried to get it back on, after that I just couldn’t sleep again. Which kain sleep I wan sleep when it’s almost time to wake up anyways…Gosh, now I’m getting grumpy! Let’s fogedatside.

So how was the almighty Valentine weekend for you? LOL. The tension nor be small oh. BB updates, Facebook statuses, Instagram photos…e.t.c. It seemed like everyone was having a perfect valentine. Seriously, how was yours? It’s funny how Valentine has become one of those days some couples look forward to then get disappointed at the end of the day. . .and it is mostly because they didn’t get what they expected. Like a bouquet of rose, a new iphone, new car, new house…dat kain tin. The thing that pained me the most is that it was such a PERFECT DAY for a wedding…and we didn’t have one.

So what did I do on Saturday… rested because I had a solo Valentine (still grumpy about that). I carried myself out for dinner at this new restaurant for my area-it was very nice-ambiance and all. It was interesting to be an observer (I was secretly hoping I would run into a situation where a guy was proposing-no luck-dry guys). The place is called D’Emporium and they have all sorts of distractions there- restaurant, 4d cinema, lounge, play area for kids, pharmacy, supermarket, frozen yogurt shop…LOL. Yes, all these things in one place. While I was chopping alone, an old friend showed up and I made new ones (I think I crashed their own valentine dinner), spent the night gisting with them.
Please don’t judge me, when I went to Church on Sunday I was looking forward to the meatpie that is sold within the compound…been looking forward to it for days oh. Only for me to reach there on Sunday and they said “meatpie has finished” …”there is no fanta”…I got very emotional-I almost cried. Am I the only one that gets very very very very very very disappointed when I cannot eat what I want??? In that moment I thanked God for the liberty and privilege to decide when and what to eat: I do not take it for granted…because, some have food they cannot eat, some can eat but have no food.

I spent all weekend doing thorough sanitation, cooking and on Sunday I went to see a movie 'Gone too far' really hilarious! [email protected]
I'm one of your quiet followers but I just have to share my saturday. Woke up on Saturday and felt something under my pillow, I was still booting so I threw it on my bedside table. When I was fully awake and wanted to pick my phone from the bedside, I saw this card plus a love letter in it. My husband can write poem sha! U need to see me smiling from tooth to tooth and feeling like a 16 year old girl. I love it when he calls me the names he coined for me…. Morenikeji and Lucia, and he sure knows that and he made use of the names in the love letter. We are not the valentine kinda couple, so I dint get him anything. Spent the morning in bed (Winks), had a late breakfast then we went for the couples' dinner organised by my church in the evening. The dinner was fantastic, I did not know my church people can do lovey lovey like what I saw on Saturday. It was a relaxing time out, though we missed our way to the venue and we were almost returning home, thank God we didn't coz it was worth it. We had a good day.
Sisiyemmie my own falantin was a disaster o. When to mega chicken with my family, I and my small course went to the Chinese section while other went African food. As I entered, I went to the till and they asked me to sit and I did o after 30mins I finally saw one of there staff passing to take order and he did. Waited for food close to an hour didn't see anything o I had to go to manager and the guy that took the ordered denied it. That's how I left there with hunger o maybe they refused to attend to me because I didn't go with bae

SISIYEMMIE… I asked u 2 be my val and u didn't turn up… Issorait.. I went to work on saturday, got home by 3pm, did laundry and slept till 7pm.. Sunday i went to church, we did evangelism after service, i got home around 4pm, bathed and slept till past 8… Guess mine was also solo like yours… Though i bought pie and ice-cream for my younger ones and neigbors on saturday… [email protected]

SISIYEMMIE, I SPENT MY VALENTINE DAY AT WORK. GOT HOME HOME REALLY TIRED AND SLEPT OFF.

Been wanting to get away from Lagos for a bit so I used the excuse of Valentine weekend to go off to Abeokuta with a friend. The town is so relaxed. No bustle, no noise. We climbed Olumo Rock and took plenty of pictures while yabbing the people that wore suit and high heels to come and climb rock.
I also made what I hope will be my first YouTube video. Still waiting to see how the editing turns out sha. All in all, great weekend.
I am a big foodie so yesss, I also get very upset when I can't get what I want to eat, especially when I've been saving space for it and I'll now reach there and hear, "Ah, aunty amala e haff finish o." *tears*
