MONDAY CHIT-CHAT : GRATEFUL!

Hello everyone! How body? Cold morning in Lagos oh, is it
raining where you are? It’s raining where I am. I love mornings when it rains- always perfect for some
akara and ogi (it has been a while since I had pap sha, I think over 6 years!)…this
weather is just calling for it!

Don’t forget that the first to leave a comment + email address wins airitme recharge!
How was your weekend? Mine was good, I didn’t spend most of
it indoors. One of the highlights of my weekend was going for a makeover at the
palms- you’ll see more about that later. Before I went for the shoot I was
playing with my own make up at home and this is the look I came up with on
Saturday.  All I need now is to learn how to gum lashes
and I shall not patronize any make up artist again…LOL. Who wants to teach me?

On Sunday I went to Terrakulture with my friend Biodun, we
went to see a play but e nor tough like the last two I saw. You know when you’ve
been hyping something then the day you now carry somebody there, e nor go come
reach the hype? That’s how I felt. It was a good play but not as rib cracking as the
last two I’ve seen. She said she like it sha…after all she was laughing.

We had lunch at Terrakulture as well…yummy!

There are so many places I’ve not been to in Lagos: on our
way back we happened to drive by Ebute meta and some areas like that, it made
me feel sad. Some of the houses so old, the environment so dirty -I saw so many young girls who are obviously teenagers and were heavily
pregnant…

It made me sad but also
grateful for the small things I have- these people are only concerned with
getting by daily- wetin concern them with internet? or twitter fights? Or third world problems—things
that some of us complain about i.e The sound of generator is too loud (these
ones no get generator) , being on a diet (na pesin wey don chop bellefull dey go on diet) …I’m grateful for what I have and where I am and I just
wish the whole world could be a better place…

Have a wonferful week and I pray this next week brings exciting tidings 😀

  8. I enjoyed my weekend oh Sisi… On Saturday my MD forgot he asked me to run a double shift for not subscribing his DSTV on time… hmmm…. And then he forgot, in the morning he then asked me to pls stay back for him after 2pm which is my normal closing time to type some things for him, das how he ordered lunch for me and then gave me t.fare to go home… When i closed i just jejely told my manager that i have done d double duty oh (Every disappointment is a blessing)… Sunday, i woke up by 7:50am when my church service starts by 6am, imagine that…. In the evening yesterdae i went to a salon, tinted my hair to gold and dats how my weekend goes.

  9. True talk, Sisi. When you think you have all the problems in the world and you see some other people' s living condition, you forget about your problems and start thanking God. One funny thing is that when you see some of those people, they seem to go about without a single care in the world. #Grateful.

  10. I really have a lot to be thankful for… like u said, some problems we hv, should make us knw dt we r blessed. nice one.

WHY CAN'T WE DISCUSS MARRIAGE ON A FIRST DATE?????

I just want to get married. I'm tired of all these Nigerian "MAN-CHELORS" who don't want to get married?
I mean, when will they grow up and start acting like Men? All they have are excuses(like I don't have enough already)

"I haven't made enough money…….We're still getting to know each other"blah blah blah!!
    I'm sick of it!!
Imagine that foolish Abdul.Telling me we should get to know each other better.
    Nonsense!

    On our first date I asked him if he wanted to get married, the idiot stared at me in shock and said;
"Haba!! We've barely known each other for up to 72 hours"
    Can you Imagine the rubbish???
How long are you supposed to know someone before you can marry them?

"Dem Dey know Person finish?" Why are Nigerian men such cowards?

A real man should be able to tell when he sees his wife. After all, isn't that how Uncle Abiye got married? When he met Aunty Chinyere he said he knew she was the one from day ONE.
He proposed to her almost a week later. That's a real man!!!!

How can Abdul say I am wrong to discuss marriage on the first date? Please,……. there's nothing there ABEG.continue reading

  11. We really have to change our mentality when it come to being thankful to God. Miracles also come in little packages. If we do not appreciate the little blessings in our lives how can we scream for joy when bigger ones arrive?

  12. Yes oh especially when you won 15 million to spend on your wedding it's not as if ure poor gosh!!! Am sure it was fixed
