MONDAY CHIT-CHAT: BEAUTY, CONNECTING & MY BIG NIGERIAN WEDDING!

Hey guys how was your weekend? Mine was brilliant! So activity filled and I am quite exhausted right now. I have two giveaways on this post today: one is for Recharge Card ( The first to leave a comment + email wins airtime recharge) You have to read through the post to find the second giveaway! So make I gist una how the weekend be.
After work on Friday I had to rush down to The Beauty Unmasked event at TerraKulture because I really wanted to be there but by the time I reach there, dem don finish. You see it was meant to start at 4:30 but i was hoping with 9ja timing it would start 5:00- 5:30 ish but I was disappointed oh. LOL. However, I still met Lola, Lilpumpkin05 (Jackie Aina), I’ve watched her videos for the longest time! I also met the beautiful ThatIgboChick! That was nice.

Guess what was more fab??? I received these makeup up products for review from Sleek Make Up and Khuraria Make up…I’ve never had so many new beauty products in one go!!! Me and my mirror will be playing for a long time oh! So I’m giving away some, leave a comment below + your location + email address if you’re interested in having it.

After that Bobo and I went to Jevenik, that was his first time at the Lagos branch, he’s been to the one in Abuja and I guess we both had an awesome experience in Abuja. He ordered for Egusi and Pounded Yam and ordered my usual: Pounded Yam and Native Soup!!! I thought I was in heaven, that was the smoothest pounded yam I’ve ever had in my life! Yum, yum, yum… why doesn’t Jevenik have bedrooms? because after that food we couldn’t really move.

Oh later on we stopped by Park n Shop, that was my first time…guess what I bought??? A Smoothie Blender from Kenwood!!! I’ve always wanted one for the longest time and I’m so glad I bought this one: I’m surely a woman now, who would have thought I‘d be spending money on a blender…. this is a new me.
I forgot it was Environmental on Saturday and Bobo and I tried to go out but had to go back home, it’s already the end of the month? Time does fly! When it was 10:00 we hurriedly went to Shoprite and I’ve never seen the car park so empty, ever!!!

From there we went to Tastees (I’m addicted to their grilled fish) when we got there we saw a MULTITUDE of school students we wanted to faint, we quickly cornered one of the attendants and begged her to take our orders because if we had to wait for the kids to finish there’ll be nothing left. I’m surprised at how respectful neat the kids were sha, they were students from Life Forte School Ibadan. I spent the rest of the day at home: I filmed 3 videos! I’m on a roll abi? Ha ha ha…and I played with some makeup…what do you think of my lipstick at the top of the page? I’m loving that lipstain from Sleek, it’s so cute!

On Sunday I filmed another video and this time it was a recipe: judging by the picture below can you guess what it was??? Go on! Take a guess!

The highlight of my Sunday was attending the Beauty Connect Series, I spoke about how make up artists could market their brand using social media, you should have seen how how I was shaking like plantain leaf wey rain beat, my ear lopes were hot and I was sweating like Christmas goat. I was soooooo shy! So shy!!! I met so many lovely people!!! If you were there, please let me know so I can visit your blogs.. I had fun!!!

Whew! That was my weekend as summarized as possible! How was your weekend? what did you get up to? I hope you have a fantastic fulfilling week ahead!!!

  11. Nice Post Sisi, I was also @ Park n Shop in Phc on Sat but to get a Mixer (thanks to the baking recipes @ dooney's kitchen) and remembered admiring the Kenwood Smoothie Blender. U can search in my crib incase it disappears in ur kitchen cos i still use my normal blender for my smoothies but careful to avoid hard vegetables like carrot. Funny at "i'm surely a woman" statement cos same applies to me. I have so many kitchen equipments on my list, in fact my fiance had to ask me if i had planned to marry one yoruba man before wen i prepare Efo Riro and Ofada Stew for him (I'm Ibo). Im in Portharcourt and wouldn't mind any of the makeup products. My email address is [email protected]. Also with all this my voting, I've to attend this wedding in Lagos. Amen
