My Sunday Outfit |
Good Morning everyone! I’m extremely excited today because it feels like Friday: Salah break is Tuesday and Wednesday so we (In Naija oh, lol) get tomorrow and Wednesday off work! Oh joy!
Why won’t I be excited? I have plans * I’m looking forward to seeing my grandma and packing all the salah meat, I loooove ram! How shall you spend your Salah? So yeah quick recap of the weekend…
Friday: Traffic!
Saturday: Early mo-mo I arranged for a hair dresser to make make my hair, she came over bright and early at about 6:00am, I was still snoring when she woke me up. It was a tough decision choosing what hairstyle to do but I stuck with my tried and trusted Fishbone. Here’s a video showing you what it looks like – CLICK HERE. It’s was painful ehn, maybe because my hair is natural. I’ve been taking Panadol since Saturday. Saturday evening mommy came to Lagos! You know what that means right? She will make pots of soups before she leaves…maybe that’s why the weekend was so relaxing for me.
Sunday: I went to Church, for 1st Service and I arrived late, due to that I couldn’t take down most of the notes of the sermon. After the service, one baba sitting next to me asked me “What did pastor say the P in W-O-R-S-H-I-P stand for?” Ehn? “Kilon jebe? Jamb kweshun. I mumbled some reason why I didn’t know the answer. I felt like such an idiot child that came to church to show face. I was blank. He smiled. 2 minutes later he handed me a paper and said “I’ve written it out for you so you can know”…
W – WAIT
O – OBEDIENCE
R – REVERENCE
S – SERVICE
S – SERVICE
H – HONOUR
I – INQUIRE
P – PRAISE
I thought that was extremely sweet of him! Bless!
On Sunday evening I went to my friend @Poshbug’s family home for her Iku Aka which I believe is the introduction rights for a wedding for the Igbo’s. After proposal, the Igbo bride-to-be is expected to
formally introduce her Suitor to her parents and close relations: “Iku-Aka” particularly provides a platform both
families exchange knowledge and become familiar with them or just
plants the idea within them that a marriage may soon take place. I love Nigerian culture and tradition, how’s it done in your culture?

I met friends, I met bloggers, 21stCenturyCareerMom and ThirdWorldProfashional It was such a fun evening. Fun, food, friends = Gist! I wish them a blissful marital journey!

wow. This your outfit sure looks stunning with em gold heels. you are looking fabulousness sis. And the hair ehn mehn it is lovely. I live in the UK and it is one place that good braids are hard to come by. I miss Nija with the beautiful styles I make with braids, pick and drop and others. I saw your video on youtube on your fishbone braids where you said your stylist who does it in the Uk is better off. please can you also help a sister in need by telling me how much you made the hair for, what kind of extension you used and the phone number of your stylist{please if she has more than one number put all incase one does not go. I don't want to take chances as this is the hair I want to wear from Dec to Jan ending }. are there other extensions I can use? please am so eager to hear from you dear my email is [email protected]
