I MISS BLOGGING

You guys, I miss blogging! You might be asking what is the difference between blogging and “doing YouTube”, well it’s all creating content but different ways. Blogging for me is writing, posting photos and I really do enjoy describing and narrating with words – more of telling. YouTube is vlogging, instead of telling, it is more of showing you and taking you along, so I don’t have to describe; you see it for yourself. I love both of them!

Blogging and vlogging is time consuming, but vlogging is MORE time consuming! Plus since I was trying to grow my YouTube Channel (we are at over 70k SUBSCRIBERS now!), my blog took a back seat. However, I want to begin balancing my time between both and write on my blog more often simply because I miss it and reading through cousin-in-law‘s blog just reminded me of how much I miss it! She’s a fantastic blogger! She makes me want to forget that I have responsibilities and hop on a plane to somewhere fancy 😀 . Her blog is Real Life With Lou
I did not completely stop writing sha, I am now a contributor for Guardian Newspaper (did I tell you already?) I write food related posts twice a month, on Saturdays, so buy the papers and check the Guardian Newspaper website HERE. So, I still had an outlet for writing, as a food writer! It’s a wonderful opportunity for me.
I know I have not written as much on my blog in the past months because I fell head over heels in love with vlogging, but I have received sense now sha. LOL. I’m in love with both and I want to start properly blogging again. But I want to ask: did you actually miss my writing? Do you prefer the videos? Is it expensive to buy data to watch the videos or you don’t kuku mind? Would you like me to balance it out? Can I even create a balance? If some men can marry more than one wife and have peace in their homes, then I am sure, I can make this work.
Somehow.
So, how e go be na?
Ps. Today, August 21st is World Jollof Rice Day! Feel free to check out 8 Jollof Recipes HERE that will blow your mind 😀 #WorldJollofRiceDay

  1. I have no problem watching your Vlogs because you are actually fun to watch but I miss your articles. Your way with words and how in my head I go with you on your waka. I remember one you wrote about something that happened when you were alot younger……I could totally relate with it.

So please, try to create a balance.

  5. Hey Sisi! I'm so glad that you want to start blogging more. I used to enjoy your blog posts a lot. I remember when your site was called gistdotcom. I was only 12 when I started my blog and I remember you left a comment on one of my posts and encouraged me, will never forget that.

Having said that, I'm a loyal subscriber of your channel and I love watching your content be it Sisi Weekly, recipes or your advice videos. So I think it'll be great if you can manage to balance both. Welcome back 🙂

  6. Sisi Yemmie,I miss your Monday chit chat like kilode…lol.I can't wait for you to get back to writing bikonu.

  7. Sisiyemmie, I so miss your blogging days, I check your blog some days, hoping to see a blog post and my heart shatters, time and time again. Please return to blogging and like you said, you can do the two. Data is a factor, but I personally prefer reading your blog than the vlogs.

  8. I totally agree with data being really expensive to watch vlogs. So I agree with creating a balance. I miss the write-ups. First time commenting. PS: you r amazing.

  9. I was actually thinking about this recently and wondering if you were going to stop blogging 😭😭. So when I saw the title of this post it was a big relief. Your vlogs are fun to watch and informative but tbh data is expensive so I don't watch as often as I'd like to.

  10. I miss your blogging too! Personally, I don't always have time to watch a vlog, that's 25 – 30mins of my time, but a blog post is 5mins top :). Plus, your writing was always a good laugh and very expressive! Definitely looking forward to reading more from you again! x

  11. Yep!!! I miss the good old days. Especially when you started initially. All your correct gists.
There is nothing like reading about someone's adventures…..it makes your imaginative juices run wild. I miss all those your correct blog gists. The way you took us on your journey. Gist about your childhood, courtship, wedding….every every. It was like gisting with a friend. By the way….your baby is so big now. Love to you and yours. *kisses*

  12. I miss your blogging too. I do watch some videos, but not all. Yeah, data is more of the reason. But with blogging I can decide to read all posts.

  13. I thoroughly enjoyed the blogs. Started reading around 2012. Your way with words was remarkable. You had a unique witty signature. Im not much of a vlog fan. I lose interest quick.I check you food videos however, I like that you make it quite short.

  14. Hi Sisi Yemmie, i just watched your you tube channel where you went to Iponri market to shop for home accessories. There is a store called Dulin, its a whole building full of household stuff. Its at the opposite side of the Iponri market. You should check it out.

  15. I actually like both. Although a blog is easier to read and it exercises our imagination.Data can be an issue for vlogs. I know when I visited Naija, I won't lie, I didn't bother opening your vlogs bcos I cannot coman visit Naija and Sisiyemmie will leave me broke, holding just my cab fare to the airport. Now, I watch as much as I want.Great Strides, Sisi!

  19. Awww thank you. I tend to have different audiences for my YouTube channel and my blog, so I'm trying to balance it out nicely. I'm looking forward to writing more too!

  20. I love both your vlogs and blog posts. somethings just need to be seen and not just written about, however data in Nigeria is expensive so watching youtube is a challenge for me when I don't have access to free wifi. I'm sure most of your vlog viewers are not based in Nigeria. I got inspired to start a blog by you. Tito reminds me so much of my son.

  21. Sisi I love your videos no doubt oo but I started with your Monday chit chat it was so hilarious n interesting before you started sisi weekly. Recently I refresh your blog n there's nothing new then I forget n refresh it after some days n I see some new posts. I think you should strike a balance between blogging n vlogging let none suffer at the expense of the other, cause just the way you have subscribers on YouTube which by the way I am, so also you have blog readers. #sisiyemmieblogaddict#
