MY 6 BLOGGING TIPS!!!

I promised earlier this week that you need to keep your eyes glued to my blog if you’re a blogger or aspiring to be one. Just to remind you, he he he, I have a YouTube Channel where I upload videos weekly, please SUBSCRIBE so you don’t miss out on any video. Not all my videos are shared on my blog. 

I hope you enjoy this video and I will write down the tips for the benefit of those who can’t watch. Please share your tips with me my fellow bloggers,(I follow amazing blogs!) and if you are new to blogging and have questions… ASK! 

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BLOG?

Some people are attracted to blogging because some bloggers are like celebrities, others are attracted because dem don see say e be like say some bloggers dey hammer seriously. You want to make money? That’s not a bad motive, blogging is not moin-moin, if you want to make money from blogging you are going to WORK for it. A blog is not built in a day. Find your blog purpose.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BLOG ABOUT?

At least, if you’re going to start a blog, you need to know what you want it to be about. Determine the niche and you will be better off. As for me, my blog has been described as a bag of pick-n-mix, blog of all trades. LOL. All join! If that’s the kind of blog you want, then go for it! There are fashion blogs, recipe blogs, tech blogs…find your comfort zone.

TIP 3

BRAND YOUR BLOG!

Branding is what makes your blog unique. Try and google different ways you can brand your blog, from blog name to blog designing. Every detail matters. If you can brand your blog before you actually start one, better for you. I did mine late, regardless it’s working for me. Visit some top blogs, Nigerian and International, you go see say blog get levels! Branded A-Z!

TIP 4

EMBRACE SOCIAL MEDIA

Love twitter, maximize Facebook, in fact any social media you can lay your hand on, you need to use. Those sites are brilliant for interaction and networking. Blogging is interacting, take it a steep further! I love social networks! You have no idea the kind of inspiration you can get from twitter! TIP 5 

INTER BLOG COMMUNITY NETWORKING!

Visit other blogs, leave comments. Interact with fellow bloggers! You will benefit from the friendships you initiate online. At least we all know there’s a Nigerian Blog community. Interact with everyone. Bloggers are readers and most of the “commenters” on your blog will be bloggers, you see why you need to network blogs?

TIP 6

BE CREATIVE!

The way you deliver your content should be interesting. What makes your story different from other people’s story? If you’re a gossip blogger this is compulsory, don’t copy and paste! Be creative with imagery, post ideas, everything! Creativity is key!
