MONDAY CHIT-CHAT : YOU CAN!

Hello ladies and gentlemen! How body? How was your weekend? Any Owambe? Parry? Anything? My weekend was great especially because PHCN decided to be nice. You know sometimes you have plans to go out and then PHCN brings light…all plans just go out the window! That’s how I felt…we had power all through Saturday, all night, even up till Sunday evening…eeeees like they forgot to off the switch. I enjoyed it sha. Dem do well.  Don’t forget that the first to leave a comment win’s airtime recharge oh! Please leave your email so I can contact you.
The rain on Saturday morning did not kuku help matters, I had an event earlier in the day but immediately breeze start to blow like this, I dug deep into my duvet and change the gear of my sleep…I overslept in fact. Got up at some point to make noodles, then went back to sleep again. Life is good. Finally got up around 2:00pm and Bobo and I went for a book launch we were invited to.
Wale Oshunde is the author of the book, You If You Can, and the launch was at Lagos Country Club. I was impressed I have to admit; he’s a lawyer and motivational speaker – so much drive and passion for Nigerian children to get educated. He told a story about a young boy he met who wanted to become a traffic warden so he could command big cars to stop or move, Wale then asked him, don’t you want to be the owner of the big car and the boy replied that he doesn’t think he can own such in the future. However, now the boy is studying to become an engineer, and the kind that makes cars. All it takes is exposure for people to dream big, and that’s what education offers. Well done Wale.

On Sunday I went to Terrakulture with Bobo to see the play Yoruba Romance, -IT. WAS.BRILLIANT! I’m in love with theatre already. Remember the last time I told you I saw The Wives, and I felt like someone that has been missing out on a lot? This time I dragged Bobo and he was almost rolling on the floor with laughter! I can’t believe only 3 acts made the entire play so much fun! I enjoyed it so much that I feel like people who are not aware of this kain enjoyment are missing out on a lot. In fact, that’s why I want to give 1 of you a ticket to go see the play (Yoruba Romance) this week. It’s going to be on the mainland sha so leave your email if you’re interested! Oh,  by the way a lady was selling these cute ankara accessories…I bought a pair of sandals the last time from her. We also had lunch at TerraKulture: loved it.
Oh I forgot to mention that I saw a movie on Friday night October 1st…I LOVED IT! Kunle Afolayan as producer and director did a great job…more on this later!
That’s my weekend in a summary, I actually made it back home before 6:00pm Sunday evening and for me that is an achievement because usually I spend all day out and about and very tired on Monday morning…Bobo said to me: “do you know this is the first time we are getting back early?” I sipped my Ribena and agreed, he liked it, and I like it too! Now I feel energized: D
Let’s enjoy this new week and go into it with positive thinking because the truth is, if you want something ehn, your attitude determines if you’ll get it or not, and I BELIEVE the best way to attract all those nice things you want is to BELIEVE it will happen!
