Nigerian Wedding went down but before I do that let me thank you, yes you. You helped make my dreams come true. I’m a personal blogger and very open but it’s not everything I share with you all, na only me know the condition wey make crayfish bend. I thank you for encouraging your family and friends to vote, some of you took it like government work, so una love me like this? My heart felt prayer is that for every good thought you have towards me, God will bless you in folds!
without really going through the contents until I started getting emails from
my friends asking if I entered the wedding competition. Competition ke? bi ti bawo? I was skeptical because
it was going to be very public, I didn’t know if Bobo go gree sef plus there was
a high chance of not winning…I don’t even know where I mustered the courage to tell my parents about it.
competition and had to stop sharing their press releases on my blog, I was even too shy at first to ask you all to vote for me but I got a lot of friends (I
have never met) egging me on and gingering me. I can’t count how many people I
had to meet with face to face to vote for Bobo and I. I can’t even count the mails from strangers telling me to keep on, that they will keep voting for me daily. I have the bestestest readers in the whole world and I know that God will bless ALL OF YOU!
However, I got a mail (all contestants did) warning against any hanky-panky as some
people had just been disqualified because of it…which makes sense cos in the
final round none of us even got up to 3000 votes. You don’t know how hard life is until you ask people to go out of their way to vote for you. Politicians dey try.
face-me-I-face-you competition and I was scared!!! The game started with a question & answer session and out of 7 questions I think I got 2 wrong and it made me
feel so bad…see as I fall everybody hand. Simple question like “Where Was Bobo
Born?” …I could not get right. They also asked questions like “What is his ex’s name”, What is his mothers first name, what is his shoe size, “where was his secondary school”.
with the other guys that we had a draw with and my happiest moment was when he was
the first to get his carrot in the cup…just look at his face! I was jumping and
screaming!!! This is what made us qualify for the second round.
ladies left: myself, Simi and Frances were
blindfolded and asked to feel only the face of each guy and tell which was our
own bobo, Bobo’s glasses were removed but I found it easy because he has a
little scar under his chin…thank you Lord for that scar. All the ladies passed
that game.
answer “ what is your fiancé favourite colour”…in my head I’m like that is
soooo easy, who wouldn’t get it right. I was expecting questions like “how many lumps
of garri can belleful your guy”, “when he wears his shoe what foot does he put
first”, that kain jamb kweshun.
us winners, my favourite colour is pink, yellow comes after, then teal and
peach… everybody knows I love pink and Bobo got it right! Bobo will never complain about pink again. I couldn’t believe
when we were announced as winners because I never thought it was possible!!! Never, ever, ever…
I was speechless. Everything was so surreal that day, it still is. This means a
whole lot to us, it is a very big deal and we want to say thank you to every
single person that voted. You’re the
ones responsible for taking us to the game show and I’m grateful to God for
everything! I also want to give a special shout out to the other couples we met, they were all so funny and lovely. We are all winners in this and I’m so happy that we shared some beautiful moments in that waiting room before the game started: we should have a reunion.
To the sponsors and organizers of this competition, thank you so so so so so much for thinking of such an idea, it was good to finally meet you on that day and to know that the competition was “REAL” because I was skeptical. If you have the opportunity to make anyone’s dream come true, do not hesitate, you have no idea how badly they need it. God bless you!!!
