I told you I was going to write a speech, you thought I was playing abi? This is my own open letter to my blog readers, YouTube subscribers, Twitter followers and Facebook followers.
Dear Brethren,
I bring out my pen from the basket of love, yes I love una. Why won’t I? You take time to read my posts, you go through the whole process of leaving comments and even go the extra mile of sharing on your social networks! The love you have for me is intoxticating – e dey shack me like ogogoro.
I want to digwe for all of you, una too much! You are the only egg in my eggroll, without you I am just puff-puff!You send me lovely messages, encouraging me to keep at what I’m doing even though on some days I don’t believe in myself! I’m grateful for the friendship I share with you! You still don’t believe we are friends??? HABA! In fact, we are more than friends, we’re family!
My blog is a place I spend hours every day, writing, editing, taking pictures, filming videos, attending events…I share my life, and my journey with you all. I am intentionally making my life, my thoughts, my stories public…because I truly believe in my heart that they may be of use to some of you, may entertain you, may inform or enlighten you. If you have ever opened yourself up to opinionated eyes and ears before, you will know that this is not easy especially as monitoring spirits plenty…
You have inspired me to persist and persevere in this my hobby. Your continued patronage have helped me keep this blog running. For this, I am very very very very thankful! Your support means everything to me! Late last year I almost gave up on blogging *sniff, but somehow sha I restarted this year and it was with vengeance, if we were friends when I started my blog as GISTDOTCOM, you go know say levuls don shange since that time and by God’s grace, levels upon levels go change.
Also, thanks to you SISIYEMMIE.COM has over 800000 hits and l’agbara Olorun by January 2014, na over 1000000 hits! Nothing brings me more joy than seeing all those small pictures of my beautiful and handsome readers at the top of the page, and anytime someone new joins, I shack one bottle of malt. It’s been growing lately that’s why I’ve been drinking more and getting quite orobolicious. Look what you’ve done!
I don’t want to compete with Baba Sege’s 18 page open letter so I will drop my pen back into the basket of love. If there’s anything you want me to do differently, tell me, send me an email. You want me to add a new feature to the blog? Talk your mind. I will happily consider it.
