WHO I WENT WITH
A few days before we were on Isaac John in Ikeja GRA oh, na so I see one signboard “ALL DAY BUFFET” with the price slashed from 5k to 3k! Chei! You know that I will not see awoof and commot eye, and una know say nothing I like pass buffet! I went with Bobo and Chief and he was well behaved-no fussing and little crying-after a few kisses he was calm.
AMBIANCE AND HOSPITALITY
When we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown to a table, and then shown the array of dishes. The ambiance was very nice and welcoming, it was clean and I really really liked the environment. Wish I could say the same for the food.
WHAT WE HAD
Sigh. I tried their jollof rice, fried rice and one pasta orisrisi like that. It was quite bland. Yup. Nothing to write home about. So I decided to try out their swallow-so I went back to the buffet and had only the choice between semolina and wheat. WHY??? lol. Not even the general Eba, or Amala. It had to be Semo and Wheat. I picked Semo and Ogbono soup…all I could do was a bite. I couldn’t go further. Bobo even tried…na hunger make am chop the food pass me (we saved our appetites all day for this). We tried the cake there-according to Bobo it was like old bread. I didn’t bother tasting. The best thing I had there was the chilled Malt I requested. Dazzaall.
DAMAGE DONE
It pained us to spend that money-in my opinion I feel they should have compensated us for what we went through. That’s exactly how I feel. We spent a good N7,500 on that experience. I would totally come there to chill with my friends to drink Malt but not to eat.
On our way out, a lady (I think the manager) asked how we found their hospitality and the food – as soon as she did , Bobo rolled his eyes as per “here we go”…I told her that the food was not nice, did not taste good and was cold! I will not lie-I cannot go to hellfire because I’m being economical with the truth.
If like us, that signboard on Isaac John has been tempting you-don’t bother. Unless they’ve upped their game.
