MONDAY CHIT-CHAT: RESTING

Good morning my beloved…in whom I am well pleased. How was your weekend? How did last week go? Yesterday was mothers day…hope you did something nice for your mama or at least gave her a call? Motherhood is not easy oh…I take a look at those women around me juggling it and I wonder…how are you doing this without shaking ogogoro everyday? Mothers are super;that’s all I can say. So a belated Happy Mothers Day to all of you amazing women who nurture.
First to leave a comment + email still wins airtime recharge…so errrr…you know what to do ba?
I’ve been feeling one kind, last week I thought it was flu but I’m beginning to think it’s malaria sef because the aches and pains are yet to subside. You know that feeling when it’s sometime in the afternoon, you feel a bit alright…then towards evening you start shaking like waterleaf…ehn. Na so e don dey do me. So I decided to take my doctor’s advice: drink plenty water, take my drugs, eat good food and sleep.
And blog.
My friend came over yesterday and she brought her daughters-who are absolutely cute and intelligent. Kai…children these days are sharp oh-you cannot pull wool over their eyes. I remember as a child when visitors came over and were about to leave I would cry and say I want to follow, they will now send me errand to go and bring my shoe/bag/box/something sha…by the time I finish carrying my shoe from inside they would have disappeared…LOL. That trick used to work for me then, but I doubt it will work for children of these days.
Why?
I was gisting with my friend and her kids were running around-so the gist went something like “abeg I nor get any friend for America something something something”…the next thing the daughter asked me “when we were coming to your house my mummy said she was going to see her friend, but now you are saying that you don’t have friend, is my mummy not your friend”? Oh dear! I didn’t even know she was listening, how much more comprehending what I was saying…I had to explain that I meant I didn’t have a friend in THAT particular location. I reassured her that of course her mummy is my friend. LOL.
She reminded me of my niece Riwostic-they are so sharp. We thank God sha, better sharp than a dulling pikin.
I received two  books last week…one from my dad and the other from Bobo’s dad-they gave them to me since he’s not around and they were both marriage books. Is God trying to tell me something? 😀 The first book was by Joyce Meyer (I love that woman) “Making marriage work, the advice you need for a lifetime of happiness” and the other was by someone who I hear is amazing speaking: “Secrets of a stable home with practical solutions to stubborn problems of african couples” by Olumuyiwa Ige…see the part I highlighted? This should be interesting to read. Maybe I should do a review when I’m done!
Let me go back to bed and sip my tea. Nepa/PHCN please be good to me.
Have an amazing week everybody!!!
