My people how body? How was your weekend? This Dorobucci song don dey inside my head for the past 3 weeks! Are you catching the Doro fever too? LOL. My weekend was stressful but fun. So much happened this weekend didn’t it? The brave Prof Dora Akunyili passed on [RIP]: she served her fatherland. Former CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was announced Emir of Kano State…imagine that! So what was my weekend like…
I worked late on Friday so that took up most of my evening, I was meant to make my hair for my pre-wedding shoot the next day but thank God for wigs eh…I just settled on one of my wigs at home. I had dinner at The Place and topped it with some Yoghurt from Sweet Kiwi. The traffic on Third Mainland Bridge was crazy…so I chilled on the Island till lateeeeeeeeee!
On Saturday Bobo and I went for our pre wedding shoot [The ministry is moving to the permanent site soonish] with the awesome Kelechi Amadi Obi ( he’s so much fun!) We did the shoot at Elegushi beach and my goodness! I have never been more nervous…I don tell una before say I be shy person, so imagine me and bobo, sitting beside the sea, K-I-S-S-I-N-G…with people staring at us and pointing…chai. E just be like say make I disappear. My cover was the makeup I had on…I don’t like plenteous make up but I had no choice in the matter as the stylist and makeup artiste dealt with me as they pleased…I can’t wait to see the pictures: I’m nervous. *bites nails

While at the beach I stumbled on this lady selling Ankara accessories, I could not take my eyes off them, I bought 1 for my self and for you! Because we are family like that…I think about una all da time….LOL. Yes, one lucky blog reader is going to win this Ankara clutch and earrings. Is that you? What was Sunday about sef? Church tinz. Plus it was our first marriage counselling so we spent all day doing that. I loved the session, every couple should have a thorough counselling session before getting married, it doesn’t guarantee happily ever afters but it does go a long long way! We spent most of the day in church and later on went for Semilore’s little brothers naming ceremony…of course we missed it. However I got to go home with some “take away”…LOL.

And that was it… I had a lovely weekend and I hope this week brings good news and opportunities for me as well as for you. Let’s all take a minute to pray for Kefee… I heard she’s in a coma and that’s not good to hear, let’s pray she gets well soon. Lets also not forget the #BringBackOurGirls Campaign, the Chibok girls need our prayers. Also pray for peace in Nigeria. Mwaaaaaaah!
