MONDAY CHIT-CHAT: MBNW, CUSSON’S BABY, NIS STAMPEDE, FUEL SCARCITY, #WHEREISOURMONEY ?

Hello everyone… how are you doing and how was your weekend? Hope it was swell? How was mine? Read below and don’t forget that the first to leave a comment + email address will win airtime recharge! I have internet issues that’s why today’s post is late, abeg make una nor vex. Let me jejely go over my weekend!
On Friday evening Simi and her hubby, another friend of ours Anu and myself decided to go to Jevinik oh, remember that Simi jabo’d us last Friday so she decided to be a good girl and make it up. When we got there I sharply sat down, I’ve been dreaming about their Native Soup, Pounded Yam and Goat Meat. So we started placing our order…only to find out they didn’t have goat meat or pounded yam…I couldn’t take it no more…we just ported to YinYang for Chinese instead and I must tell you, I enjoyed it immensely.
I also enjoyed the conversation…Simi’s husband was explaining to us how he hears from God and he gave an example of when he was about to get married…he was led to that Proverbs 31 vs 22 and then a line caught his eye “ she is clothed in purple” and guess what? At that time Simi was obsessed with purple! Ladies, pay attention oh. LOL. So that was all the confirmation he needed! How do you hear from God?

On Saturday I made sure I turned off my alarm and I slept …in the past I could sleep till like 12:00 in the afternoon, I was surprised when I woke up and it was 8: 00 am…anyways I lazied in bed till about 11: 00 before proceeding to film/edit my videos for the week. Later on I went to Beauty Xtraordinary on Opebi link road to buy my cleanser and soap…I love that Kokuryu cleanser they stock. Do you know there’s free wifi at that salon? Now you know! From there Semilore’s mommy and I went to hunt for The Place in Ikeja, that was my first time at that particular one and I enjoyed it…although they didn’t have as much variety as the one in Lekki…we felt like Ice Cream later and stopped over at ColdStone…nom, nom, nom…my Saturday was gooooooood.

In other news did you people hear about that NIS exam wey people die put for the matter? Hmmmm… only 3000 openings and see the full stadium that turned up! See how high the rate of unemployment is Nigeria? See our youths? After they will say we are the leaders of tomorrow… this is gross injustice! They were even asked to wear white and each applicant paid 1000 Naira…the question we need to be asking is #whereisourmoney. May the souls of those who died RIP.

The highlight of my Sunday was getting petrol! This car city na wah oh…did you read my WA GBA PETROL post? Click HERE. It was a highlight because I didn’t have to queue even up to 10 minute and I just jejely filled my tank…I was so pleased! I’ve been worried sick about how I was going to get fuel to go to work. I thank you Jesus…

Oooops! Did I forget to tell you? Bobo and I made it to the Top 10 on My Big Nigerian Wedding! Thank you so much for all your votes, the next and final stage is going to be a game show…biko I need expo, what do you think it’s going to be about so we can prepare? LOL. Also my friend’s baby Moyo got to the next stage of the Cusson’s Baby Competition! Now all you have to do is TEXT “CB 9” to 20050, costs 10 naira only, so please give her at least 10 naira! God bless you!

I started this week quite organised….I arranged all my outfits for the week and updated my to-do list…I should do this often.  May God bless our huzzle this week oh…say amen!

  1. Hi sisi Yemmie, you obviously had a fun weekend. Hope I win the recharge card. My weekend was stressful, had to drive my aunt to the market and wakad all over for her to buy what she needed. Then I drove her home and she convinced me to cook for her before I eventually escaped. Sunday was church, cooked lunch and slept.

  4. Morning Yemmie… The fuel palava is worsening and the fuel stations are gradually becoming battle grounds of sorts, very discouraging… The NIS scam should not be swept under the carpet, the minister of interior should be brought to book..
