I had a fantastic weekend and an even more awesome Monday morning, I had some good news today!
Before I dive into it can I ask how your own weekend was? Hope it was awesome? And I hope you’re prepared to take on this week? #gameface. Don’t forget that the first to leave a comment + email wins airtime recharge! I know you’re not here just for the recharge.
Ok, Friday didn’t start quite well for me because dem tiff my phone, inside my car. I usually have to give the key to a security guard after I park my car at work and that’s because they always have to re-park. I was using my phone in the car so I forgot to take it out when I was going into the office, I came back down to pick the phone about 2 hours later because I was in a meeting and ….there was no phone! About a month ago they stole my car charger, I confronted them. Now this again. I could not even shout too much…I’ve decided to be parking somewhere else now. I need a new phone, if the Lord places it in your heart please bless me with one. LOL
I was invited to V4C’s workshop on GENDER ROLES AND THE CONCEPT OF MASCULINITY for the weekend, myself and other social media influencers were accommodated in Lekki and it was a very fun , enlightening, educative weekend. During the day we had discussions and all of that. It was relaxing for me because I didn’t have to think about Nepa/fueling my generator, I didn’t have to drive and I didn’t have to cook. Wondafu! I think people should take time out to chill in nice hotels once in a while.
We discussed gender discrimination, gender equality: and I’d like to ask my fellow women, girls, are you ready for equality? Are you knowledgeable about the growing gender discussions? Don’t worry, youwill read more about it later, but for now enjoy the pictures! Other participants were Toni Kan, WanaWana, Tolu Ogunlesi, Nedu Naija, Rinsola Abiola, Farida Yahya, Chika Oduah, Shola Okubote, Zainab Usman, Mark Amaza, Maryam Abubakar,Kayode Oguntade, Azeenarh Mohammed, Joachim Macebong, Stanley Azuakola, Wumi Asubiaro-Dada, Roli Ukwu, Usman Abubakar Sidiq
On Sunday Morning I went back home to prepare for a meeting with awesome princesses, Awesome Princess is an offshoot of Awesome Treasures Foundation, a faith-based NGO Mrs Olajumoke Adenowo funded in 1999. You should read her profile, very very inspirational! Awesome princesses are for young girls especially teenagers and myself and Ayo of STER spoke to them about Self Esteem and Finding their Potential. We also danced and had some refreshment, I got a Thank You cake and a book written by Mrs Adenowo- Designed For Marriage! The kids were such an interesting bunch and at the end of the day, I felt so so so so fulfilled! You can see why in the pictures.
It’s very interesting how I attended a workshop talking about empowering young women and supporting women to apply for leadership positions and I find myself hopefully inspiring and being inspired at Awesome Treasures on Sunday. This was divinely ordained.
Special Shout Out to Semilore’s mommy who helped me take pictures on Sunday, we treated ourselves to a huge burger later on. He he he #welldeserved
