SHOULD YOU REALLY SEE KUNLE AFOLAYAN' S MOVIE, OCTOBER 1?

I know this movie premiered a while ago and some of you have seen it but I also bet some of you have not! So I am not the chief last carrier…wear your uniform well with pride. I wanted to see the movie since it premiered but the right time never presented itself... 

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical especially since I wasn’t really impressed with Figurine however, I have changed the way I see Kunle Afolayan now, he actually did well as director/producer and actor, even though his acting is not quite there yet sha. Nod if you agree.

The movie tells a story of Danladi Waziri (Sadiq Daba), a police officer from Northern Nigeria who is posted to a remote town of Akote in Western Nigeria to investigate the frequent female murder cases in the community, and have the mystery solved before the Nigerian flag is raised on October 1, Nigeria's Independence Day. That’s a summary and If I share more than that this review would be a spoiler. 

Halfway into the movie you could tell who the serial killer was but that did not take away from the suspense because I kept trying to figure out how the known killer was going to be caught and more importantly why was he killing?! We only hear about serial killers in Western stories abi?

Ha ha ha....I was minding my business jejely on twitter when a picture floated across my TL...Ki le leyi, I asked myself. It looked like a plate of food sha, make I click. Jamie made Jollof...this should be good! I clicked on the link and it took me to his website where the recipe was...I read it and I'm glad he said this was HIS version of Jollof rice, but I don't think many people really got that memo-they were really upset! I'm looking at the picture and shaking my head, Jollof Rice does not really need all that senrenren on it...see lime, and big balls of pepper. Nah, I would not readily call that jollof as I know it.

Now to the main gist. I am a yoruba girl, i've been dating this yoruba guy for five years. Though we are not from the same state, his mum is from my state but we are not from the same village. And oh I forgot to add that all those five years we dated, it's been a long distance relationship, because I travelled to the UK to study for four out of the 5 years ‎and when I got back we didn't live in the same town, we only visit each other. Apart from that, he is my bestfriend, the one I told everything and the one I call first when I need to talk to someone or just cry lol. So just a week ago he called me to say there was trouble. Apparently he's been telling his mum about me and his intention to marry me. She had always said no but he thought she was joking, or she was just in a bad mood.

Small small I am beginning to unleash my Niger-Delta Recipes...I don't know why it took this long. Today's recipe is called Ukodo in Delta : simply yam and unripe plantain pepper soup porridge. Sometimes I add the unripe plantain, other times I don't. It's delicious either way! I 100% percent believe that the most original pepper soup recipe and ingredients come from Delta, if you've not tasted any from that area then  you should. Authentic 100% ! WHAT I WORE DURING MY HONEYMOON :D

This honeymoon matter nor dey finish at all oh... so today's video is going to showcase about 3 outfits I wore during our 1 week honeymoon. Some people have time to prepare for their honeymoon, I tried to prepare sha (so disorganized)...we were still snoring from the wedding a day before and forgot that we needed to pack/travel so I ended up with a lot of irrelevant stuff that I managed to cram inside my box within 3 hours. I went looking in my wardrobe for sezzay outfits to wear but the truth is this, you don't need to wear cloth...that guy does not really see it. It's your h-o-n-e--y-m-o-o-n! LOL.

Hello my fellow bloggers! Ah, I’m back to being a good girl and today I want us to share with each other. I don’t have all the answers, just sharing my opinion. I was asked a few days ago “How much should bloggers charge for ads”? and frankly that was not the first time I was being asked that question but before I give my own opinion on how much bloggers should charge I would like to answer other questions:

I think I'll add a new segment to my blog...(ON REPEAT) I love music and when I love a song it's on repeat till the artist starts coughing wherever they are. That's what's going on with me and this Benita's song right now. The song was released about 4 months ago so I'm late to the party but woreva!

WHY THERE WAS NO MONDAY CHIT-CHAT

Seriously I was just going to do Ogboju and not post anything, no chit-chat, no explanation and just pretend nothing happened but since yesterday I've been getting so many messages, "Sisi where is Monday Chit-Chat?". Oh dear....this ogboju will not werk. Plus I've been having weird dreams. LOL

Ehn, see, it's nothing serious. It's just that I was cooking and eating and cooking and eating since friday and before I knew it was Monday morning and I screamed at Bobo "Yomi, no Monday Chit-Chat!...LOL. O tun mo si, I was a lazy blogger all weekend, I went nowhere, did nothing and I did not have the liver to come and tell you that... I'm sorry *stares at feet*

We all have those weekends abi? But this weekend there'll be activity because I have plans *rubs hands together in glee*....and it's my birthday this sunday (19th)! You see I was asking what I should do that weekend because its a big birthday...still nothing comes to mind so I think I'll just make sure I do no house work that day and go out for lunch/dinner (Bobo take note). I expect cake too! I did want to visit an orphanage...I will but maybe not on that day.

I'm expecting presents from you, you want my address? You can make up for not sending me wedding presents. LOL. Last year I think I wrote a birthday wishlist. I got almost everything on that list except the Range Rover Sport, Baba God do it for your daughter! See last year's list HERE  .  So in the absence of a wishlist I'll request for prayers...I still need prayers. A simple "God Bless Sisi Yemmie and Bobo Yomi" will do a lot in my life because you know God's blessings are not limited to Range Rovers....Halleluyah???

"A MAN WITH AN ERECTION HAS NO SENSE" TRUE/FALSE

Ok, so me I jejely going through some blog comments on recent divorces in the Nollywood Industry  and you know how comments can be: some are off point, while some just expand the topic at hand but they all centered around cheating. The first comment I read that drew me back was:

"A man with an erection has no sense" and the context in which it was written was this: "if a man wants to have sex he can do it with whoever, whenever and wherever" Is this true? I don't agree, it makes men look like dogs that have no brain or self control like didirin. Haba. Men, make una talk oh! Defend yourselves. I did a post on Lies Women Believe About Men last year. The second comment was directly about husband snatching. "Men are not property! No one can ‘steal’ your husband without his consent so if your hubby is nicked from you then the blame lies with him not the woman! "
