Sorry for the delay my people, I promised to gist about this our ogbonge honeymoon, I’ve just been trying to put things together jare. There’s a video to go along with this post so after reading my tori, you can feel free to click and see what I was describing. I need to break it down into different parts. Today will be the introductions and tour: so Bobo and I got married and went on our honeymoon to Dubai and we stayed at
The Burj Al Arab- The most luxurious 7 star hotel in the world!
Let me confess, during the competition I didn’t pay attention to the honeymoon offer bcause I didn’t believe I would win sef, when we won and I heard the name of the hotel, I didn’t think it was ghen-ghen as well. You see, I’ve never been to Dubai and the only time I hear about Dubai is when people want to go shopping for stuff, so in my head, Dubai was like Onitsha market. Forgive me, I don’t know why that was my imagination.
We got to Dubai using Ethiopian airlines, it was an okay flight going to Dubai, but coming back was just my worst flight experience ever. It was hot, whether the AC was not working oh, I don’t know. It was rowdy, the inflight entertainment wasn’t working and they let people with excess luggage take it into the plane so luggage everywhere, body odour. Eeeeeew. We didn’t buy our tickets for the trip till a few days before leaving and that was the only affordable flight. Never again.
Now back to Dubai, when we arrived we were greeted at the Jumeirah stand with a screen reading Welcome Mr Olayomi Odusanya , they took our luggage and we were escorted to a Rolls Royce…chai! Better thing good oh. The driver was gisting us about Dubai and the emirates etc…I was too tired and excited to understand what he was saying.

I love this photo I took of the car |
When we got to the hotel, it was soooo beautiful! Fabulous….so na here we dey stay? They welcomed us like better people, gave us cold wet towels because Dubai is HOT!!! I used the towel to clean my hands… I hope that was what I was supposed to do with it. The reception was amazing!
OUR SUITE!
Just walking up to our suite left my mouth agape, I was like a bush warri babe in a fine place. We had a butler at our service, we had access to many facilities at the hotel. Bobo had to sign something immediately we got there, I don’t know what it was because I was busy merry go rounding the suite.
Our Suite was two floors, downstairs was the living room, work area and guest bathroom, and then upstairs was our bedroom and bath. Kai, I wish that na my house, in fact all I could think of on our way back to Nigeria was how to make Burj Al Arab money….
UPSTAIRS (BEDROOM AND BATH)
The bedroom was so beautiful, the bed was so soft, my kpako body could not cope. Seriously, I couldn't sleep for like 2 days because it was too soft. LOL. There was a TV in the bedroom, it only comes out when you turn it on with the remote control and it had Bobo's name on it. How did they forget about me???? The curtains were remote controlled as well...all this oyinbo things ehn. Mirror over the bed...naughty naughty.
The story of this Hermes gift set: a while ago I bought this Hermes perfume for Yomi and before we got to the hotel I was asking him about it, he said he couldn't find it and the conclusion was that I never bought it. Shebi na me pay with my money, I remember giving it to him! Oya now, we got to the hotel and bam! He had it there. So I was like, "God really wants you to use this Hermes perfume." abi?

HOTEL TOUR
This was one of my favourite places to Chill: the Sisha lounge. The restaurant where we have breakfast overlooks this place. So pretty and clean... We were taken on a tour of the Burj Al Arab by the PR manager, it was nice to see all the facilities and offers!

The devil wanted to scatter this my honeymoon, for like the first 3 days I was ill, I think it was the whole stress of the wedding. Bobo sef had sore throat and a cold. So all this picture sef na manage. LOL.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and picturesque. It must be even more amazing in person if the pictures look so amazing.
ReplyDeleteAs per honeymoon, anywhere outside the country and with water is good for me.
Nice.....
ReplyDeleteThe name on the screen in the hotel depends on whose name was used in booking the trip so they did not forget you rather the organisers used Bobos name for booking. I booked a three adult two children trip and everywhere it was only my name they used because I was the contact person no biggie
ReplyDeleteyou for just say "nice hotel, been there myself and it was wonderful! I'm sure you had a swell time".. I'm sure sisi knows why he's name was there.. no need for your story miss. nigerians mehn "no biggie" lolll
DeleteNa only you waka come? Where the rest of your villagers at? She asked why her name was not there I answered her and she made reference to it more than once so obviously she was clueless as to why her name was not there!
DeleteShe knew why it was only Bobo's name...ever heard of sarcasm?
DeleteErrr no she did not and i think you may have to relook the meaning of sarcasm coz that sure was not it! Bring it on its bank holiday I have all day to go back and forth with you oya lets go!

ReplyDeleteI started visiting your blog recently, Yemi and I am already a big fan. It takes a lot of courage and a good heart to share one's life with others and you are doing that beautifully well. After I saw your video on Living Within One's Means, I appreciated you the more knowing that you aren't all about bling but that you also value high morals. You are an example of what you said in the video about working hard and being patient for the good things to come. You are an inspiration and I pray that God continues to bless and protect you and your family as you bring happiness to people's lives through your stories and good humour. I am happy you had a nice honeymoon with your hubby. Ride on girl!
ReplyDeleteI use this your honeymoon location as a point of a contact to my honeymoon..... The Lord will make it happen for me and my husband to honeymoon there as well. Amen!
