Visa Restaurant Week has just ended and I have been so busy trying to eat my way through Lagos with the vouchers and discounts I got. I have so many Restaurant Reviews coming up so if you're looking for where to dine out in Lagos then stay tuned! I visited Eric Kayser (Maison Kayser) in Victoria Island (which is new, less than 2 months old) and I sampled the menu. If you want to see everything I had then keep watching!

A peek into a classroom in any given children school in Nigeria will reveal different kinds of kids and interesting things they are known for. Most adults today can admit that they fell into some of these categories while growing up. Take a look:
I've been hearing about Chai Tang Chinese Restaurant since they opened at the Twin Water Towers in Lagos a few months ago and I had the opportunity to visit lately. I thought it would be the perfect time for a review since I was going with my family. I've read reviews online and the seen the hype on social media so I was looking forward to this experience. If you want to know if Chai Tang is worth your money (because dinning there is not peanuts) then watch my review to the end, I have something to share with you.
If you've been following on Instagram on YouTube you may have seen our big news, it's not a secret anymore. There will be a new plate on our dining table soon and we are all so excited! I had the idea to tell it by having a picnic because my son has been begging me to go on a picnic for a long time (but now he's changed his mind because of the bugs and sandflies at the park LOL).
If you're looking for a quick vegetable sauce that you can enjoy with yam, rice or (my preferred pairing) Spaghetti, then try this Beef Stir Fry. It takes less than 15 minutes to cook and always delicious!
I know the kids are back-in school and I should have shared this with you waaaaaaaaaay before school started but one of my nicknames is lastminutemommy LOL so even though I made this video showing you what I bought for my son for school, I never shared it on my blog. What a Wawu! Please SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube Channel because that is where my videos get posted before it gets here :D . Am I forgiven? LOL Thank you. If you want to see what I got for my son from Jumia for back ti school then please watch this video (Great prices and delivery was so easy!)
By now most of you have probably been to the Krispy Kreme stores in Lagos right? They have two stores currently, one at Ikeja City Mall and the second store at Bishop Aboyade Cole Street Victoria Island, Lagos. Upon entering any of the Krispy Kreme stores, you are greeted with a wide display counter of their beautiful doughnuts you can hardly resist. The display was full and tantalizing and you always feel you want to have it ALL but you think about your waistline.
I know a lot of people have gone on about how the Krispy Kreme doughnuts are too sweet, myself inclusive and I hoped there would be a low sugar variety which I am very happy that they have that now so I decided to give it a try.
Hello lovelies, hope you are having a fantastic October so far? It has been a different kind of start for me into my month (October 19th baby here) and I am grateful for all the challenges and changes; some positive, some negative. On a positive note, I moved houses and you know what that means? A new kitchen! I lived in my previous house for two years and never showed you around the kitchen because I was trying to get it perfect for a tour but I have come to see that "done is better than perfect". The tour never happened. LOL. So now, before I procrastinate because I want to decorate to my taste, I want you to be the first to have a look around my new kitchen because that is where the magic will happen going forward. Let me know what you think!

Germs are in
many places out there and trust our adorable adventurous kids to spend most of
their days moving from one germ-filled area to another, without a clue as to
what is gaining access to their restless little bodies. These germs affect their health one way or
another and it is important as parents to know those hot spots where your kids
are most exposed to germs.
If you live in Lagos you know house hunting can be an extreme sport! Not many people really find the perfect home to rent until they decide to build according to their specifications. I moved houses two years ago and now I have to do it again-it is exciting, but also very stressful. If you want to go with me on house tours then keep watching and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE
It goes without a doubt that children need to learn how to take care of their bodies from a tender age. These vital lessons will help them live healthy lives till adulthood once ingrained in their minds:

The importance of photography cannot be
underestimated in today’s world as it has redefined our perspective on
virtually everything we know & understand. From singlehandedly changing the
entire outlook of the advertisement industry, becoming a highly lucrative
profession to forming a credible partnership with social media platforms such
as Instagram which since its inception has grown exponentially over the years.

of moderate use on just one single charge.
Infinix Note 5 was launched recently after much awareness by the company. The

Ever since I brought in my friend Ogo of BeddingsnBeyond to fix up my living room I have been getting so many requests to show what the finished results look like. In true YouTuber fashion I will do so-I will take you on a tour of my living room and let you know where I got the pieces from, especially if you're looking to get similar stuff. Most of the furniture in my home is Nigerian made by BeddingsnBeyond(she's an amazing Interior Decorator in Lagos).
It’s no secret that the world’s most awesome doughnuts are now in Lagos – VI and Ikeja City Mall! - and have been sharing joy and happiness all over the city. This week, Krispy Kreme is celebrating 81 years and they are making it really huge. They’re giving out dozens of free doughnuts and making a massive birthday cake, among other side attractions. In order to get to the essence of the activities, I had to do a little digging to understand more of what makes Krispy Kreme so popular.
While the battle for supremacy in the mobile phone ecosystem gets increasingly heated within the Nigerian market and in Africa as a whole, every Original Equipment Manufacturer operating in the region knows quite well that brand development through innovative technologies is important for a success story. Unfortunately, a lot of smartphone brands have been unable to attain this feat and have had any form of upward progression halted but this isn’t the case for a particular smartphone brand.
The Note 5 is the latest device launched by Infinix Mobility, under the Note series. It comes in two variants, which is the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro with features specifically made to suit the smartphone demands of users and enhance tech intelligence amongst them.
So, you want to start a business? Awesome! There's nothing like building something of your own - something you're passionate about - and watching it blossom. It could be anything from food to consulting services; 2018 should be the year you go for it and finally see your dreams come to life.
Whether you've just recently kicked off or you're still at the 'thinking on it' stage, this is what every first-time business owner should consider:
Hello loves! Have I slowly become a travel blogger? LOL Maybe. All join for Lifestyle Blogging abi? This is my third trip in 2018; earlier I went to Mauritius, then Dubai, and now Maputo Mozambique which is really close to South Africa. In all of my trips I always have a stop over at O.R Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg-my favourite place to shop duty free (for now).
It's a wonderful thing to see Africans all over the world doing amazing things, and I love to celebrate it! One of such people is Adaku Ufere, who is a lawyer at a pan-African law firm, managing legal teams across Africa - including Ghana, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea. Adaku has an LLB from the University of Nigeria, a BL from the Nigerian Law School and an LLM in Oil and Gas from the University of Aberdeen. She is also a member of the Nigerian Bar and the International Bar Association, and is a certified Chartered Arbitrator, as well as an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the United Kingdom.
One of the best pieces of advice I've ever received is: "all you people do in this Lagos is look for money. Don't forget to enjoy life o!" It was such short, impromptu counselling, but it stuck on mind like glue. Even if you live in a slower-paced town/part of the world than Lagos, it's so easy to get caught up in everyday life (and the monotony of it) that you forget there is more to living.
As you probably know, travelling is one of my favourite things to do. Aside from it being a time of refreshment for me, I also find that opening yourself up to new experiences, from time to time, has several benefits. Before you sigh because you think you can't afford 'that travel life', or just can't get the time off, this is why you need to do it more often:
I put up a post on instagram few days ago talking about how I feel like I spend a large chunk of my life thinking of what to cook, looking for what to eat and actually cooking, it is stressful and I hope I would be able to afford a personal chef someday...when I don hammer. LOL. Before then Menu Planning is the way to go. Menu Planning for the week, and for the month helps me reduce stress, saves time, saves money and I eat healthier. If you want to see how I plan my menu + see what is on my menu for June, then click more.
It was all fun and excitement at the recently held Ribena Good Values Awards ceremony which took place on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Grandeur Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos. Ribena, one of the leading nutritional fruit drinks from the stables of Suntory Beverage and Foods Nigeria Limited, celebrated hundreds of children from 150 schools for portraying exemplary character and being ambassadors of good values. The event saw a huge turnout, in thousands, of school children who were also accompanied by their teachers and parents.
How many times have you had the same old boring white rice? I don't like eating leftovers but whenever I upgrade it, it's special and I enjoy it just like it was freshly made. Take your white Rice from boring to banging by adding a few vegetables, beef or chicken and some spices. No one would believe this is a leftover makeover! The ingredients are preparation method are in this post, also video demonstration if you learn better that way. For more Nigerian and Nigerian Inspired/Fusion Recipes, click HERE
How would you raise your child if someone (let's say a prophet) told you that she\he was going to be the president of the country when he grows up? I'm sure you would be intentional about your parenting and making sure that child achieves their potential. All children are seeds, and can become anything, in this vlog I share what my toddler says he want's to become. Also, we are doing a bit of interior decorating-I cannot wait to give you a tour!
Sometimes, you just want to shout, "pause!" at life, the way you can at a smart TV, but unfortunately and much to the disappointment of many, it doesn't work like that. Between work, business, family life and other responsibilities, it's so easy to start running on an empty tank without even realising it. But remember: you can't pour from an empty cup. Here are key signs you need to take a break from work/regular life, re-energise and get that spring back in your step:
Lagos is one of the liveliest, interesting, enjoyable places to live, but most of us can also agree it's equally just crazy - nearly all the time. How do we get by in this action-packed city of ours? The answer is to keep evolving! Here's how to survive now - and keep surviving - in Lagos:
There are a lot of new spots popping up in Lagos too frequently for me to keep count. However, I will do my best to showcase whichever ones I visit and like. Today I visited Blackbell-it is a Bistro, Lounge and more. It is not totally new, but it will be my first time visiting the new space in Victoria Island (on Adeola Odeku). I visited the one in Lekki (Admiralty Way) once to see what it was about but I was not impressed, however this new one in V.I had me taking photos left, right center...I did not expect it to be as nice as it was! But was my husband impressed???
I'm so excited to announce that I am in a commercial-you guys! Growing up Nasco cornflakes was my favourite, and when I lived outside Nigeria I would always buy it, along with other items to take back with me (plus I'm one of those people that must eat cornflakes with hot water ha ha ha, because that is how I grew up eating it)...SO you can imagine how awesome this is for me-I get to work with a brand I have enjoyed since forever. In THIS VLOG I showed behind the scenes, press PLAY if you're interested in that.
I have so much respect for women! Building and enjoying a fulfilling career, being a wife and a mother as well as one million other things is TOUGH (Nod if you agree). It's a learning curve - and I'm no where there yet - but here is how I manage being Sisi Yemmie 'the brand' and Yemisi at home! There's a surprising angle to the Proverbs 31 woman that people hardly talk about, but I will tell you.
Watch my vlog below and share with me how you balance it all in the comment section!:

Living in a clutter-free, inviting home is pretty important to most of us, but sometimes, there just never seems to be enough space to put everything away! In every home - large or small - there tends to be a need for more space. If you can't seem to figure out how you can fit anymore dishes into your kitchen cabinets, or how you could possibly work in a cosy corner into your living room, here are some tips:
How much communication do you actually have with your friends off social media? Isn't it amazing how little time a lot of us spend with our loved ones off-line unknowingly? April is Caesarean Section (also known as C-Section) Awareness Month. Having a C-section is a common medical practice that's still often frowned upon (especially in Nigeria) and surrounded by myths.
It gets you thinking: are you a "lazy mother" for not pushing out your baby the "natural" way? Are the risks truly higher? Will you still enjoy that first-time mother-baby connection?
Let's get our facts straight about C-sections this awareness month. Here's what every woman (and man) should know:
Your life changes when you become a parent-there are places you could go to without considering how family-friendly they were and now you have a little one, you find yourself really looking for spots that you will enjoy and your little one will have fun. There are a couple of places in Lagos and today I will show you two of them that I frequently go to - BUT FIRST, Can we take a minute to appreciate how healthy the Lion looks?! I was pleasantly surprised to find a location that housed animals and how well taken care of they are!
After knowing that making 25 million Naira in a day is possible, I bet most people would start planning on how to apply for Big Brother Naija 2019, knowing that once you get out the potential to earn is multiplied-Look at Miracle! Even though it is a winner-takes-all game, other Big Brother Housemates can still monetize based on how popular they are.
This week, ex Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as BamBam, launched a beauty product, Bam Beauty Oil, a "carrot seed based" and "hundred percent organic" moisturiser. This was said to be done in honour of her 29th birthday on the 23rd of April.
After nearly three months of monitoring like spirits observing the lives and interactions of 20 individuals in an enclosed space, Big Brother Naija 2018 is done and dusted! When this year's BB was tagged, 'Double Wahala', they weren't kidding! 25-year-old housemate, Cee-C was, by far, THE MOST controversial contestant, this year, stirring up a lot of conversation and debate on and off line for her brash, offensive and abusive interaction with other housemates. Sweet sometimes, Emotional also, Cee-C was a one-woman-mopol who wore her heart on her sleeves. Last night, She was crowned the first-runner up of the Big Brother Naija race, losing the grand prize of N25 million (as well as endorsements and other prizes) to co-housemate, Miracle - which sparked massive commentary on social media!
Just in case you didn't actually get to watch the show, here's a good summary of events:
Almost 48 hours after our President declared that (a large percentage of) Nigerian youth "sit and do nothing", while expecting a lot from the government - housing, healthcare, education, etc. - the Internet is still talking about it! Young people in Nigeria - and diaspora - remain shocked, surprised and angry at this statement by President Muhammadu Buhari, many tweeting with the hashtag, #LazyNigerianYouth to share what their "lazy" lifestyles really look like.
Here are some of the funniest, most relatable and most powerful tweets:
