If you've been watching my vlogs you will know that I LOVE Suya and my favourite spot right now is the one in Ogudu (in front of CCD)...I love the price ( N200 per Chicken stick) and their Yaji mix is just right! I have begged, cajoled and offered to pay for that Yaji spice recipe but the aboki no gree, quite understandable. LOL. You have to protect ya market!
However, he dashes me some of the Yaji mix often and I thought of another way to use it. I made a "curry"-it reminded me of those indian curry's.This one is simple to prepare and all you need you probably have in your house. It's perfect with basmati rice!
See the recipe below and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE!
That sounds yummy. I always use suya spices from Glover Court in Ikoyi to jazz up different dishes as well.

ReplyDeleteSisi, thank you SO MUCH for this recipe. I made it on Sunday and it was the BOMB.COM!! So insanely delicious and SO quick and simple to make. I would never have thought of using yaji in a curry, but it is a wonderful combination with the coconut milk. I had all the ingredients at home and I modified the recipe slightly by using some blended tomatoes and grilled chicken. My pastor and his wife came over after church so I had to whip up something quick, and this dish was a super HIT!! For real, thank you, thank you, thank you so much. I'm going to be making this one again and again.
ReplyDeleteJust made this and all I can say is OMG!!!! It was amazing!!! For some reason to wasn't as red as yours even with all the pepper added but loved it all the same. Hubby too was excited about it and says I must make this every time now. Thanks dear. xx
