Just 2 weeks ago he was talking about Myles Monroe’s passing, and now all I can think of is how fleeting life can be. We are not promised tomorrow and the reality is…we all gon’ die, someday….not today by God’s grace, not next month, not next year…maybe the next 100 years when all our teeth have fallen out and our hair is grey, and our great grand children surround our table asking us stories about the times in 2014 when men were boys and women were girls. Amen?
More than thinking about how we’re going to live till 100 +, lets also think about our lives now, every day, every minute. What are you doing with it? What are you doing with your gifts? I’ve made up my mind that I cannot live moin-moin mediocre life anymore…I want live my best, maximizing my potential. I hope that’s what you’re thinking too? If there’s anything ChazB and Myles Monroe’s death has taught me, it is living to full potential. By God’s grace I will. We all will.
My morale just low sha after that news on Saturday morning, the rest of the weekend was by agidi (strong head) I went for the Naturals In The City event, I didn't do much there, just looked around, bought an item or two for my nieces and bought a satin head cap which I was told was very very necessary to keep this my koko nachie hair.
Church on Sunday was awesome, I almost didn't go but I'm glad I went. We had a guest pastor, Rev Steve Mensah, he says it as it is and he is full of humour. His sermon reminded me of having compassion for my neighbor who is not necessarily the comfortable person living next door but the beggar/gateman/needy person that isn't doing as good as yourself. I should expand on this later. Interestingly my pastor from Northampton UK was visiting our Church this Sunday, when he was introduced I was so happy and excited to see him and his wife :D...I miss Northampton oh.
Later on in the day Bobo, myself, Semilore's mommy & daddy, and Shade attended the Corporate Elite event...I didn't know what to expect but I want to tell you that I had fun! Lots to drink and yes, small chops dey too so that was all I needed. I watched Praiz, Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Simi, all perform! WOW! It was electrifying... I just started misbehaving when Don Jazzy entered with Dorobucci...LOL. I think my favourite performance was by BankyW, he knows how to engage a crowd and then Praiz's rendition of "All Of Me" was quite epic. I enjoyed my night...left Eko Hotel at past 11:00 pm and imagine the main gbedu never start then...una well done.
Make I rewind...I spent my Friday night at Grills In and Out...I told you I'm addicted to that place una no hear. We grilled our own meal and it was nice...but me I don't have energy and patience for that, let them grill it for me biko. LOL. It was a very nice and new experience and I thank Grills In and Out for that.
Have a fabulous week everyone! God Bless!
