Back to the matter...I didn't do a lot this weekend, I spent it eating and sleeping but on Sunday I had to get my lazy behind off my couch and to V.I to honour Dabs invitation. Wait first, am I the only one that is almost obsessed with watching "Women Who Kill", "Crimes Of Passion", "Dates From Hell" etc on DiscoveryTV abi na wetin be the name of the channel on DSTV? I watched a lot of it this weekend, I don't know if it makes me more paranoid or wiser. I dunno...
Dabs organised a garden party for some bloggers and we were allowed to bring a +1 reader to the event. I went with Fashion Rehab (she's such a sweet girl). When I arrived at the venue I thought it was a wedding reception...so cute! The dress code was strictly florals and every girl looked so pretty! Dabs had her makeup done by Stella of Stella's Addiction and the look was flawless, you need to see it in person. I've sha begged Stella to come and do my face.

Hair crush- her name is Yemisi! |
Beautiful Dabs- that's all her hair! |

We had a lot to eat and drink, she spoiled us silly sha: cocktails, small chops, sweet kiwi yoghurt, pasta, and more! Berry brought pretty floral cupcakes (her husband makes cakes)...so yummy. Lets just say I threw that my fake diet out of the window. |

The event was basically to meet up and just discuss about challenges as bloggers, how to become better, how successful bloggers become so: we all want that range rofer ni. LOL. Everyone offered very good insights, we talked about picture quality (by the way do you think having good photos make a difference in a blog post or nah?) we talked about our blog designs, post scheduling. We even discussed what made us start blogging and it was very interesting to listen to others.
Tommie Akibo- fine girl no agaracha! |
We were just beginning to have a nice time when this rain started falling: it broke my heart! We had a romantic thing going on! So we had to take cover inside a room, and the show went on but na there my photography end... LOL. I wanted to take photos of everyone's hair and outfit...you see why procrastination is bad? You will say, I will do it in 5 minutes time and then rain will come and scatter everything.
Anyways, we talked about a whole lot more! What I found interesting is that there are so many Nigerian Bloggers that we don not know. We need to at least get to know each other better abi?
Special shoutout to Dabs for organizing such a fabulous event! She was such a lovely host!
Bloggers in attendance were Natural Nigerian, Kemi Lewis of KL Naturals, Doyin-Chloes Makeover, Adaku of TWP, Stella of Stella's Addiction, Berry Dakara, Ozinna-Style Vitae.com, Barbara of Babara1923,Nibi of Kinky Apothecary...that's all I can remember, If you were there please leave your blog link below because I want to visit your blog!!!
I still haven't figured out what I'll do for my birthday yet...plans keep changing! Let's talk about the coming Independence Day coming up: do you know of any fun event on that day? I don't want to sit home in the corner dulling. LOL. Ja mi si!
Ps. I want to tell you all that I appreciate you for always reading my blog. God bless you and make your dreams come true.
Have a great week all. God bless you. Do Good o!

ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, it really looked like some 'tech' wedding reception...scrolling down a bit, I changed my mind as it metamorphose (big grammar for change...lol...just had to add that) from being a wedding reception to a 'natural hair meet-up'.
