I love when I find new places to eat: I love it with all my being. Last weekend I went to the Palms and I was hungry, so Bobo and I decided to try out Kobis: this was my first time eating there but the second time I was seeing it. The first time I saw Kobis was at Oregun and it was difficult to decipher if it was a bakery or fast food outlet, the outlet was very colourful and caught my eye which is why when we saw it again at the palms I didn’t hesitate to try it out and we were impressed. The next day we decided to visit the other branch at Oregun. Read the review to see how it went!
WHO I WENT WITH
The first time I went with just Bobo (at the palms) while the “proper” time I went with Semilore’s mommy, that was the outlet in Oregun, I don't know if they have any other.
LOOKEY FEELY
I love the ambiance of Kobis because it was invigorating, the colours used: red, bright green and white…fresh! The AC was pumping in contrast to the hot weather outside and good music was playing. Before I go further, let me tell you this: they have free wifi and it was the fastest wifi I’ve ever plugged in to! I would go there everyday just for wifi!!! I mean…!
HOSPITALITY
The attendants were very welcoming and she kept suggesting meals that we could try: I love that. She was even the one that said “ …and we have free wifi”…my eyes opened as wide as saucers. Kobis had just one toilet for the ladies, nice toilet but it was a mess when I tried to use it…if you’re going to have one toilet then you need someone on standby to always check that it’s in good condition. Most fast food outlets hardly have wash basins but Kobis had and there was no happier customer than Bobo, he was beaming that at last “somebody gets it right”. He kept washing his hands especially when he wanted to dig into the 'Kara Burger.
WHAT WE HAD
We ordered for their special Prawn Paella Rice with Chicken, Moin-Moin and their signature 'kara Burger. Ha ha ha. How unique and innovative! First Akara burger I’ve had and I loved it! Their moin-moin was very rich and moist: just how I like it. The Paella rice was very very very tasty and I was extremely impressed that the prawn wasn’t scanty. The grilled chicken was absolutely yum and it was fresh from the kitchen!
DAMAGE DONE
The Paella Rice cost N750 which in my opinion is not bad at all! 'kara Burger cost 500, could be cheaper though. Moin-Moin cost N250 which to me is a bargain price for such good moin-moin. Chicken was about N700 too.
VERDICT
I daresay that this might be one of my favourite fast food outlets: The paella rice, kara burger and wifi are the major selling points of Kobis. I hope they continue to produce this sort of quality of food. Good food + wifi, what more can one ask for? Well more branches! I hope with all my heart that they maintain the standard because the thing with start ups is the quality drops after a while… Overall I’d recommend it to anyone. Stop by Kobis and tell me what you think! Or if you have, let me know what your experience was.
HOW MANY LOVES?

I visited KOBIS @ Oregun yesterday and tried out 'Kara Burger, it taste really good. I also love the ambiance - it is very colorful and full of life. The Toilet facility is one of the best i have seen in any restaurant though it is just one toilet each for male and female. It was very neat and comfortable, as soon as i was done i saw one of the cleaners already cleaning. I hope they keep up with their quality of food and practice.
ReplyDeleteBob.
