I had a huge watermelon the other day and I was wondering about creative ways to serve it, and bingo! This came up. I had a pineapple and pawpaw too. I bet you can use any of those as the pot. It's been a while since I've done a restaurant review and that is not right, especially as I am trying to build my foodie portfolio and take my chop chop career very seriously *rubs belly. FACTS.

On the night of Friday, the 7th of March 2014, our friend and colleague disappeared.

He was with a friend in his rented apartment in Port Harcourt on that night when he received a call. After answering the call at about 8pm, he told his guest he had to dash out to meet some colleague and that he would be back shortly. That was the last time anyone saw him alive, he met with the persons but never returned.

He had planned to travel to home to his family in Warri on Saturday but sadly, their expectation to see him alive and well was cut short. He never came home. By Monday his family was fully panicked. They checked and confirmed that there were no accidents on the PHC-WAR road and that his name was not on any manifest of the more popular transport companies.

Tell me you don't love these cute african emoji's!!! Oju Africa, a division of the African mobile company Mi-Fone, recently launched the first set of black emojis...ever liveth! 

It started with a debate over the lack of diversity of emojis.  MTV journalist Joey Parker flagged up the fact that there are no (or barely any) non-white emojis in the basic range in most text-message apps used by Apple, Google and Microsoft.

This is where Oju Africa steps in! The collection of 15 emojis is a direct result of an outcry over the lack of diversity in the current set, much of which comes from Apple. Oju means "face" in Nigeria's Yoruba language, and these beautiful african/black"faces" are already available for Android and are pending for Apple's iOS.

Creative director Eserick Fouché says: "We follow global trends but we are differentiated by our authentic African voice. So as a brand we wanted to do something that only Africa could pull off, something that could become so iconic that it would have the world talking. I believe what we have created will ensure that every African on the planet won't be able to help but love it!"

Who wants to learn how to prepare authentic Ikokore Recipe???  I know so many people who would trek from UK to Naija just to have a taste of this. Like I said in my OJOJO Repice post If you want to hook that ijebu guy, or you want to surprise your ijebu parents or friends, make them Ikokore! My mom used to make it while I was younger so it reminds me of my childhood again, but she stopped, and I think In know why, grating Ikokore is not easy and I do not like to use a processor, it doesn't have the same texture... Hi lovelies, I attended the WED Expo on Saturday to shop around for vendors and here are a few interesting sights I caught...were you there? It was so much fun: I planned to just breeze by for maybe 30 minutes but I found myself glued for over 3 hours! So many awesome vendors! WED Expo is such a fantastic concept for people looking to get married...it's a one stop shop. I am feeling inspired enough to start planning my wedding!
