WHERE I WENT
The plan wasn't to go to Chocholat Royale on the day, we
were disappointed by one buffet restaurant on the Island so to appease our taste buds Toks (Semilore's daddy)
suggested Chocholat Royale and Bobo was more than willing to go there. I've
heard about it but never been there and I did not regret it: you know the Bible says the footsteps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord... Ehen.Tweet
If you love pastries, ice cream, snacks and chocolate you will love Chocholat Royale as it is a haven for those who like jedi-jedi things : they make different kinds of french pastries, cookies, croissants, tarts, cakes... yum yum yum!
FELLOW REVIEWERS
It was myself, Bobo, Semilore’s mom and Semilore’s dad: it
was a fun and interesting day out. Bobo kept hmmmmming everything he tasted, it
was like he was in sugar heaven, I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but I
enjoyed it sha. Ahem... you know I'm trying to become more lepacious.
Once we entered the shop the sweet smell of freshly baked pastries greeted us... all-butter croissants; chocholate dipped cookies, muffins, moist chocolate fudge brownies, ice cream with over 18 flavours, chocolate truffles... They also had milkshakes, fresh fruit juices, cakes, pizzas, burgers and sandwiches....let me stop.
WHAT WE HAD
HOSPITALITY
I must admit the attendants were very welcoming and cajoling. LOL. I stood staring at the bar of pastries, I couldn't decide what I wanted and one of the lady kept suggesting and suggesting "oh try this butter cookie, you will love it!", me sef I collected, " try that chocholate dipped one", oya I stretched hand and took it... Bobo did not help matters, he kept pointing at everything. LOL
DAMAGE DONE
I am actually surprised that it wasn't cut-neck price oh. The ice cream that was very very very yummy didn't cost more than 500 naira, imagine, I had one scoop and a chocolate cone and I spent less than 500. Their prices are very affordable jor.
VERDICT
Sisi : There was a lot of variety, they do cakes for whatever kind of event you have in
mind and these cakes look so yummy, I bet they taste yummier too. I loved that the prices were very considerate, hospitality was on point. What was there not to love about it?
Semilore's daddy : A 5 star confectionary, people friendly and very affordable!
Bobo: This was candy and cake heaven, perfect! The only set back is that the cookies fall apart as soon as they are packed. I love their cookies because each had its own characteristic flavor accentuating its taste unlike some bakeries where all different flavors taste alike. As per the ice cream, kudos to the variety.
Semilore's mommy : Chocholat Royale is the heaven of sweets (sweet mouth) in 9ja!
